A Hanover man is in serious condition after a car vs. motorcycle crash on Baltimore Street in Hanover Borough around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
William Jacoby was driving his 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 motorcycle south bound on Baltimore Street when a 1996 Ford Explorer, driven by Charlene Evans, of Hanover, turned south on to Baltimore Street from Pleasant Street and entered Jacoby’s path, according to a press release from police. The car and motorcycle collided, police said. Jacoby was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries, police said. He was flown to York Hosptial and is in serious condition.
The Hanover Borough Police Department, Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments and fire police assisted at the scene. Police are investigating the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact the police department at 717-637-5575 or through York County 911.
