Attorney Kaleigh Ryder Presenting at Two Legal Events This April
Attorney Kaleigh Ryder has been named President of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Dauphin County Bar Association. She will share her expertise in two upcoming presentations. The first is a CLE on workers’ compensation case law updates on April 9, and the second is a joint session with Bethann Kagan at the Women in Trial meeting on April 24, focused on the overlap between workers’ compensation and personal injury law.
Partner Scott Cooper Advocating for Justice and Receiving Recognition
Partner Scott Cooper recently spoke at the Pennsylvania Bar Association Mid-Year Meeting in Barbados, delivering a civil litigation update on auto law and insurance issues. He also served as co-counsel in Erie Insurance Exchange v. Baluch, a precedential case that clarified underinsured motorist coverage in Pennsylvania. The decision ensured that a severely injured young girl received the benefits her family had paid for, which are benefits the insurer had attempted to deny.
Cooper’s contributions to the legal field were further recognized with his inclusion on the 2025 Power List by the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal, honoring leaders making a meaningful impact in the region.
Our Team Family Achievements
Our extended Schmidt Kramer family has much to celebrate.
Lily, daughter of paralegal Ashley Burris, took part in the PeCo Perry County Choral Festival in February. She joined select students from several school districts for an outstanding performance, having had only one and a half days of practice.
Meanwhile, Peyton Mehring, daughter of office bookkeeper Sherrie Mehring, helped lead the Philadelphia Junior Flyers Girls 16U AA Elite Hockey Team to victory as their goalie in the Atlantic District Championship. The team will now advance to Nationals in Virginia, scheduled for April 2–6.
