A Chambersburg man was injured after striking a truck stopped on the shoulder of I-81 in Franklin County on July 9, 2013. Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, report that Patrick Wade Cole was driving north on I-81 at mile marker 17 around 11:10 p.m. when he drifted off the roadway and struck the rear of a IHC tractor-trailer, which was stopped on the shoulder at the bottom of the Exit 17 on ramp.
According to the police, Cole was taken to Chambersburg Hospital by Chambersburg EMS with moderate injuries. He was later flown to Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. If you have any information on the Adams County car-truck accident please contact the Pennsylvania State Police.
