June 18, 2012 – A young man on a motorcycle was killed and a teenage girl in a car was seriously injured when their vehicles collided around 5:10 p.m. Saturday on Route 72.
Andrew T. Bolton, 25, of Manheim, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 2600 block of what is called Lebanon Road, near the intersection of Mountain Road, Manheim Borough police reported late Saturday June 16, 2012. He was on a silver Kawasaki sport bike.
Olivia Hoffer, 18, of Lebanon, was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center by ambulance and listed in serious condition. She was driving a green Pontiac Sunfire, police said.
Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said an autopsy, and possibly toxicology studies, would be performed Monday.
Mastersonville and Manheim fire companies, Manheim Ambulance, First Aid and Safety Patrol, and Northwest Crash Team assisted at the scene, according to police.
