According to Pennsylvania state police officials in Chambersburg, a Franklin County motorcycle accident this past weekend in Peters Township injured the driver and a passenger. Joseph A. Campagno, Fayetteville, was driving his motorcycle east on Route 30 on Saturday when he made a left hand turn onto a private lane owned by the Milky Way restaurant and traveled over a speed bump and lost control, striking the pavement.
Campagno received minor injuries as well as his passenger, identified by police as Mary B. Aylesworth, Shippensburg. Police report that the riders slid on the pavement a short distance and came to rest near the point of impact. Fannet Metal Fire Company, Marion EMS and Mercersburg EMS assisted at the scene.
