The Perry County man was killed Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash along the Conodoguinet Parkway at Interstate 81 in Silver Spring Township.
William Goudy, 60, of Rye Township was pronounced dead at the scene following the 1:30 p.m. crash, according to a press release issued by the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office.
Goudy was the operator and sole occupant of a motorcycle that was traveling west on the parkway when it struck the side of a vehicle that turned in front of him, the release says.
Although Goudy was wearing a helmet, he was thrown from the motorcycle. An autopsy is scheduled for today to determine the cause of death.
Township police and the coroner’s office are continuing the investigation.
