Jessica Mitchell will be presenting at a Social Security Disability law retreat by the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. The NextGen Retreat is for those under the age of 40 who have less than 10 years of experience in Social Security Law.
The event takes place March 3-6 in Boulder, Colorado, and Mitchell will be presenting in a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session about Social Security Disability hearings. The session will cover various aspects of these hearings and will have a mock hearing with a panel of Social Security practitioners (Federal Court Practitioners and Hearing Level Attorneys) sharing best practices.
Attendees will leave the session with tips on building a case, preparing testimony and interacting with Administrative Law Judges. The session will also help practitioners to think about the two goals of a hearing: winning the case or setting up a strong appeal, as it is important to toe the line between the two.
The retreat is at the Hyatt Place Boulder and starts on Thursday, March 3. The CLEs will happen between 8 a.m. and noon on Saturday, March 5.
The event concludes on Sunday, March 6 with brunch.
