The Lancaster Journal is reporting about a mechanic who was accidentally killed at a commercial printing plant in Lancaster city yesterday morning. The man was identified as a Lancaster man in his 50s.
An “accident involving a tow motor” happened shortly before 6 a.m. at RR Donnelley & Sons’ 1375 Harrisburg Pike plant. Based on the circumstances, it appears the death was very sudden.
Denise Seeman-Risner, Donnelley’s vice president of manufacturing, provided the following prepared statement from the company:
“All of us are all deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
“We are doing all that we can to determine how this could have happened, as we support one another in this very difficult time.”
