Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Route 72 at North Cornwall Road. A minivan driven by Joanne Lewis, 57, of Harrisburg was traveling south on Route 72 when it struck the rear of a car driven by Sara Young, 18, of 94 North Cornwall Road in West Cornwall Township, which was waiting to turn east onto North Cornwall Road at 3:48 p.m., December 19, 2012, police said.
The minivan was pushed into the northbound lane and collided with a car driven by Allison Gettler, 27, of 1326 Elm St., Lebanon. Young was not injured, but a passenger in her vehicle, Skylar Krause, 17, of 36 Ridge Ave., South Lebanon Township, was transported by First Aid and Safety Patrol to Hershey Medical Center and was listed in serious condition Thursday, a center spokeswoman said.
Lewis and a passenger in her vehicle, Cornelius Cunningham, 60, address unknown, were transported by First Aid and Safety Patrol to Lancaster General Hospital. Cunningham was in serious condition Thursday, December 20, 2012 and Lewis was in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Gettler was not injured. All vehicles were towed. Cornwall and Friendship fire companies and fire police assisted.
