Pennsylvania State police in Lebanon County are investigating a tractor trailer accident which occurred on Interstate 81 early in the morning June 9, 2013. The incident occurred at around 3:35 a.m. at mile marker 94 in Swatara Township. Reports are that Amy Joyce of Hazleton, was disabled in the right-hand lane after hitting a deer. Robert Morris of Florida, was driving a tractor trailer in the right-hand lane and struck Joyce’s vehicle.
Authorities reported that Joyce died at the scene. Morris and his passenger, Ian Ferguson, of Florida, were not injured.
