Schmidt Kramer would like to congratulate the Red Land Little League team on their U.S. Championship win as well as their great work during the Little League World Series.
On Saturday, Aug. 29, the Pennsylvania-based little league team scored a 3-2 victory over Pearland, Texas, in front of a record 46,000 fans. A Pennsylvania team has not won a U.S. Championship since 1990 when a Shippensburg team beat California 5-4.
With players from across Pennsylvania, the Lewisberry, Pa., team went on to play Tokyo in the Little League World Series championship game on Sunday, Aug. 30.
About 42,000 fans packed the house at South Williamsport, Pa., to cheer on the Lewisberry team. Lewisberry’s 10-run first inning was a record and overall, both teams scored 30 hits. Unfortunately, Tokyo scored 18 to Lewisberry’s 11 hits.
Nonetheless, Red Land Little League’s U.S. Championship win and amazing run at the Little League World Series are great achievements.
Congratulations to all the boys who put in hard work this season and made their fans proud!
