Reports from various sources are that CBS does indeed have its eye on Carlisle Regional Medical Center. The network’s popular long-running news magazine show, “60 Minutes,” will spotlight the hospital in an upcoming episode.
Several doctors who once worked at CRMC are reported to have told “60 Minutes” about being pressured by the hospital’s owners, Health Management Associates, to commit medicare and other fraud. They claim that because of the alleged fraud, about 90 percent of the staff at CRMC once quit within a one year period as the employees didn’t want to take part in any fraud.
